Job Description

BOOKKEEPER/ADMINISTRATOR

  

Employer: Lotus of Oakville

Education: College or University Diploma Experience: 3-5 years or more

Wages: $16- $22

Hours: 30-35 hours per week

 

Skills:

General Administration ‘(e .g., receiving/distributing mail, answering a 9 line phone system, checking emails, sending faxes) .

  • Bookkeeping (e.g., accounting system, invoicing/ receivables, payables, procurement, government remittances, monthly and annual financial statements, expenses, banking); Canada Customs Importation and Exportation duties
  • Filing of official documents ( including correspondence)
  • Administrative support directly to the CEO
  • Administering payroll (ADP) and maintaining employee records;
  • Interpreting and advising on employment law;
  • Dealing with grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures;
  • Developing with line managers HR planning strategies

which consider immediate and long-term staff requirements;

  • Planning, and sometimes delivering, training, including inductions for new staff;
  • Administering and maintaining records of petty cash;
  • Preparing financial reports

Key qualifications of the Office Manager include::• 5+ years of relevant experience as Office Manager/HR Director. Working knowledge of business programs such as: Microsoft Office including Word,Excel, QuickBooks, Simply Accounting, and ADP .

 

Post-secondary education in HR/ Business, or related program from accredited college or university; HR designation is preferred. Good working knowledge of Canadian employment standards, Human Rights and Health & Safety regulations. Exceptionally organized.
