Who are you helping?

Each year Goodwill Amity assists people in Hamilton, Oakville and Burlington in overcoming barriers to employment. Those seeking assistance include individuals with disabilities, racialized individuals, newcomers, Indigenous persons, women further marginalized during the pandemic and the LGBTQ+ community. Thanks to our Canada Summer Jobs Team Members

The federal Canada Summer Jobs program gives youth, often students, valuable real-world work experience and gives employers like Goodwill Amity some extra team members.

“My greatest takeaway working at Goodwill was coming out of my shell and being put in an environment where I got to engage with clients and speak with them,” says Tajesh Monaharan, a Canada Summer Jobs student at our Upper Gage location in Hamilton.

Business After Business at Goodwill

We were delighted to host a very well attended Business After Business gathering of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce on September 29 at our head office at 225 King William in Hamilton. Thanks to everyone who came out to see our space and network with fellow Chamber members!

Increasing Accessibility

Our new automatic sliding doors, installed at our King William office, were made possible by the Partner Facility Renewal Program of Ontario’s Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services. The program helps partner agencies pay for repairs and important renovations to keep their buildings safe and secure for clients. For everyone attending the building they have been a great improvement!

Welcome to our new Members of Parliament and Provincial Parliament

Goodwill Amity was pleased to meet with MPs Chad Collins and Lisa Hepfner and MPPs Natalie Pierre and Neil Lumsden, to orient them to our work in the community. MPs Pam Damoff and Filomena Tassi also visited to catch up. We appreciate their time and support!
